"For you created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made, your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139:13-14

Gavin and I at the farmhouse Christmas 2012 =) We are on a tracker ride =) Yeehaw =)
Sweet Gavin Christmas 2012 - He is 3 yrs old and so sweet! He is truly my angel and I am so blessed to have him in my life <3 - Thank you Jesus!
I am late posting this but here is Gavin's 3 year old birthday picture from 10/16/11 =) He is doing great and is so incredibly sweet! His health is good and he is a happy little boy. He still scoots around instead of walking but does cruise along the furniture =) He can say Go, momma, and daddy. He loves his big bird (chicken) hehe =) and loves watching Dora. He can hold his juice box drink (applejuice) on his own and hold his spoon to feed himself as well as finger foods =) He loves walks in his wagon, dance time, and playing with his sisters. He loves getting my pots and pans out of my cupboard and playing with them. He loves holding his toothbrush and brushing his teeth. If you ask him for a kiss, he gives sweet kisses and wonderful hugs. I am very blessed and thank Jesus for my sweet son. <3
I started this blog to note and celebrate Gavin's life. He is such a precious gift from God that I appreciate so much. I wish he did not have DS but we will make it one day at a time :)
This is a new blog celebrating and noting our journey with our new son Gavin who has down syndrome. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I was scheduled to have a C-section 10/28/08 but when I was just 37.2 weeks I went into labor. Our son Gavin Russell was born 10/16/08 at 11:30 am via C-section. Gavin weighed 8 lbs and 6 oz and was 21 inches long. After Gavin was born and before they tied my tubes we found out about Gavin having down syndrome by the doctors saying " are you sure you want your tubes tied, it looks like he has down syndrome." We were shocked to say the least. I went ahead and had my tubes tied and our journey with DS began. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I know Gavin is a true gift from God and even though I wish with everything that I am that he did not have DS I love him so and will get through this one day at a time.
